What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is one of the oldest complementary therapies around today and has been practised for thousands of years.
Reflexology is a non-invasive holistic complementary therapy, that can be used alongside traditional treatments and medicine. During a reflexology treatment the Reflexologist will apply gentle pressure to different areas of the feet or hands. These areas are called reflexes, and they correspond to different organs and systems within the body. By applying pressure to the reflexes, it stimulates the corresponding organ or system. The Reflexologist may feel small crystal deposits that feel like grains of sand, or detect tension within a reflex. The reflexologist will then apply gentle pressure to the reflex to help the area to relax and clear any congestion present, so the body can start to achieve a state of equilibrium.
